The Tauern cycle path is one of the most delightful cycle tours in Europe and runs from the Hohe Tauern along the Salzach river valley - via Bischofshofen - to the Mozart city of Salzburg. From Salzburg, the Tauern cycle path leads along the Saalach to Zell am See. Another variant leads to the Inn and on to Passau. The section between St. Veit - Bischofshofen - and Werfen is also known as the "legendary Tauern Cycle Path".
