Ski Mountaineering

Step by step ... the purest form of skiing pleasure

An experience completely in harmony with nature - away from the hustle and bustle, in a wonderful winter landscape and just your own rhythm! The reward for the effort of the ascent is a magnificent view, a rest in a cozy hut and the descent over snow-covered slopes.

The Knappensteig - the longest groomed ski touring descent in the Eastern Alps

The approx. 8.5 km long Knappensteig leads directly from Bischofshofen (starting point (Starting point ski jump area) Ski jump area) to Arthurhaus Mühlbach and offers a wonderful, secured Ski touring route. After conquering almost 1000 meters in altitude, you reach the Arthurhaus with the small but fine ski area on the Hochkeil. Depending on the snow and weather conditions, various ski tour variants lead from there to the Hochkönig area or to the summit of the Hochkeil.
